I’m a bit of a do-gooder. I volunteer for everything. More than I really have time for, honestly, so I’ve been trying to be more considered to avoid biting off more than I can chew. But, this opportunity was a no-brainer. So awesome and easy that I have to spread the word!
Katie from KTmade is collecting handcrafted pillowcases to bring to her sister, a volunteer in the children’s ward of a hospital in Rwanda. They are hoping to bring the kids some fun and joy by filling the ward with colorful, handmade pillowcases.
If you craft, you have a stash of fabric. If you have 20 minutes (and I know you do), you can make a pillowcase. Katie has even provided several tutorial to follow. I’ve used the one by Film in the Fridge before and it is easy and quick! The french seams give it a nice touch and this tutorial was the first time I had actually made them.
Read more here and then make one. It only takes a few minutes, and you might even try a new technique in the process!
